PFG57 level indicators feature an adjustable spring, which allows the operating torque to be increased or decreased depending on the material to be detected.
Compared to the standard setting, the highest setting increases the torque by +67%, while the lowest setting decreases it by approximately −89%.
By applying these percentage variations to the minimum density detectable by the propeller, it is possible to estimate the range of densities that can be detected by the device.However, it should be noted that the values indicated are influenced by variables such as the weight and size of the propeller, as well as the type and particle size of the material.
For this reason, it is recommended to always select the most suitable propeller for the material to be detected, using the spring adjustment exclusively for calibration purposes if further adjustment in the field is necessary.
